I have been going to Hudsons in Dickson on a regular basis now for many years. This Vietnamese family café which only serves western food changed hands a few years ago but in terms of the menu and the café nothing changed and that’s a good thing.
This is a great place to go for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee and cake and you will always be met with a welcoming and warm smile and find the service wonderful. I have yet to see them stuff up an order.
They do a great all day English breakfast (Hudsons Breakfast from the menu as opposed to the Big Breakfast on the Chief’s Specials board) which includes a hot drink and juice – great value for the A$19 they charge. Lots of other choices if your not up for a full breakfast.
For lunch my dish of choice is the eggs Florentine – I just love the combination of poached eggs, wilted baby spinach, mushrooms and feta cheese served on a delicious Italian toasted bread – to die for as they say. They do a fantastic eggs Benedict too.
The food and, and very importantly, the coffee here are consistently good and have never failed to please me such that I can wholeheartedly recommend it. The café is small with just around 10 tables inside but it has another 10-15 outside in the traffic free front courtyard. It is especially busy on weekend mornings.
Address: 5 Dickson Pl, Dickson
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: On the Woolworths side of Dixon as opposed to the Chinatown area.
