Lisnaskea is the second town of the County of Fermanagh in Northern Ireland with a population of 2,500.
A Corn and Potato Market was established in the centre of the town by the 3rd Earl of Erne in 1841 and this Celtic cross – the “Adam and Eve Cross” on a much older pedestal (the “Barter Stone”) – was placed in the market square. Continue reading “Secure Everlasting Love in Lisnaskea”
Goroka Market, with ready access to produce from the fertile Highlands and Markham Valley is one of, if not the best market in PNG for fresh fruit and vegetables. It is certainly one of its most colourful markets. Continue reading “Goroka Market”
Greenwich Market operates from Tuesday to Sunday and has about 120 stalls selling arts & crafts, antiques & collectables, clothing, curiosities, vintage items, some fresh produce and takeaway food (with a few tables) – something to suit everyone. Being a major fan of local markets I made my way to Jamestown Market with great anticipation. In truth I didn’t have far to go – about 200m from my hotel.
