The evening before we had seen a sign advertising a buffet breakfast in the Flamsbrygga Hotel for NOK180, not expensive for Norway.
The next morning we went for a look and, thankfully, there was no one around to show us to our seats. This give us the opportunity to have a look at the buffet offering. It appeared lacklustre at best and not worth the price. We hastily decided to go to the Co-op shop (about 50metres away) and take our chances there and then find somewhere to sit down an enjoy a takeaway breakfast.
We settled for some pastries, yoghurt, fruit and juice as a fraction of the cost we would have paid for the buffet.

On leaving the Co-op we spotted a table, in the distance, as close to the edge of the Aurlandfjord as you can get and at the point where the Flåm River enters it. Needless to say we made a beeline for it and enjoyed our breakfast while enjoying the most delightful views, in perfect weather conditions, out onto the fjord and back towards the mountains.
I will let the images attached speak for themselves.

Certainly a highly recommended option for breakfasting in Flåm.

Wonderful views – you clearly made a great decision choosing this over the hotel buffet. Although breakfast without coffee is a bit of a challenge for me 😉
